Human Resource Management Workshop

A two-day training workshop designed to give an overview of human resource management and its key functions. Its focus is to empower managers to effectively interact with human resources professionals or to provide basic HR services where the HR function is not fully developed.

Learning outcomes

  • Understanding of the human resource management function in relation to supporting the organisation’s strategic directions
  • Development of recruitment and selection skills, including interviewing skills
  • Assessment of training needs and the development of a training program using the 4-MAT model
  • Understanding of performance management issues and conducting appraisal processes
  • Exploration of remuneration and benefit models and criteria for best-fit for an organisation
  • Identification of EEO principles and enhancing skills in resolving employee issues
  • Exploration of the components of HRIS (information systems)
  • Planning for a suite of HR policies and procedures
